After making 30 unsuccessful offers on homes with another agent in 2009 - my husband and I were fully aware of how difficult the market could be. Competition from cash buyers and investors made it very difficult for us small-fry, first time home buyers looking to buy our first home with only 3.5% down. When we realized we were ready to give it a go again, now in 2013, I fully considered trying to buy without an agent at all. Many friends told me that it would help to give us 'an edge' to go it alone and to work directly with the listing agent of a property. I shared this notion with Carly during our first conversation together. Almost hoping to impress her with the idea that I knew what the market was 'really' like. Carly quickly convinced me that it would not be in our best interest to work without an agent and asked us to trust her. So we did. We put our hopes and dreams in Carly's hands, we trusted her and we have never looked back. Like the energizer bunny, Carly worked for us to find not just any house, but a home that we would be happy in for years to come. At many points I wanted to rush the process by just settling on any fixer upper that popped up on the market. Carly would not allow us to settle. She counseled us through each step of the way. Giving her honest opinions, being realistic with what we could truly afford, yet not allowing us to settle on a so-so house. Finally, on April 29th we heard those words we had longed for...an accepted offer! I knew we were not out of the woods with an accepted offer but we had never come this far. Friends said to be prepared, as escrow would be the biggest nightmare to go through. However, we never experienced any sort of nightmare at all. Carly literally held our hands through each and every turn. Giving us clear instruction on what would happen next and knowledgable answers to each question that we had along the way. I cannot say enough about Carly's work ethic, integrity, and positive attitude. An all around rock-star working with all types of clients in all types of price ranges...and you'd never know the difference. As I sit with my laptop at my kitchen table looking out at a phenomenal view that I never thought would be mine, I can't help but to feel that Carly made what our family once thought was a pipe dream a reality. About two months ago I contacted Carly, telling her that we were only in the market to buy ONLY THIS HOME. With our contingent offer competing against other multiple offers on an amazing property, I knew that the chances of us getting an accepted offer was slim, but if anyone could get us our dream home, Carly could. I am thrilled to say that Carly did not disappoint, and when she called me with the news that we were in escrow I actually cried tears of joy. The selling agent of our home informed us that Carly was a pleasure to work with and her professionalism, including being timely and organized with necessary documents, was part of what made this sale happen, despite the fact that our escrow was contingent upon the sale of our current home. Knowing this, Carly went above and beyond to get our unprepared home ready for a quick and profitable sale, even to the point of staging our home for us while we both were at work. Carly was respectful of our financial concerns and even paid half the cost of tenting our home that we were selling. From start to finish Carly was the BEST!! We used Carly to sell our townhome and upgrade to a single family home in the area. The idea of selling our house was very overwhelming buy Carly guided us through and helped us every step of the way. Back to back open houses resulted in multiple offers and opening escrow 7 days after we hit the market. When it came time to start making offers on new properties the inventory was low but we did find our dream home on day 1 of the search. Thanks to Carly's advice we submitted a strong offer and despite there being multiple other offers on the house, we were accepted and opened escrow the following day. From the time we first sat down with Carly until the time we were handed the keys to our new house, she has been nothing short of amazing! She never let us feel overwhelmed or stressed out; she was a constant calming, sense of rationality during a time that can be very stressful. Like one of the other reviewers, we met Carly when she sent us a letter stating she had clients that were interested in our condo. At the time she sent the letter we hadn't considered selling but we were interested in what the market would bring for our property so we gave her a call. She asked if she could bring her clients over to see the property, we had no problem with that. She was extremely professional and we were impressed with the way she handled the situation. It turned out that her clients wanted to make an offer on the property and we figured we had nothing to lose by letting them. The offer she presented was a fair one and we considered it for a short time only to decide that it wasn't the right time for us to sell., She understood and didn't pressure us at all, she told us that it had to be right for us and if it wasn't, no big deal.<br/><br/>Fast forward one year later. We decided that the time was right to sell our condo and because we were so impressed with Carly, we decided to use her to sell the place. Throughout the whole process Carly was extremely efficient. She listed the property on a Friday and by Monday she presented us with two offers. After a little negotiation with the people who made the strongest offer we went into escrow. The whole process was a breeze, Carly kept in contact with us throughout the entire process. If I called her, I usually got right through and if she was busy and we got her answer machine, she would call back right away. We purchased a home in Carlsbad in 2006 with the idea that we would retire there, but ultimately decided to sell that home and purchase a condo with a view in the same area and keep our High Desert home as a primary residence. .Carly assisted us with the sale of our home and then the purchase of a condo. Carly was very aggressive in her search for our condo, Not only sending us multiple listings but sending personalized letters to communities that we were interested in to see if anyone was "thinking" about selling. Thanks to one of her "letters" we purchased a great condo in a very nice community with lagoon and ocean views. Through the entire process she was very professional, helping us navigate the tough issues related to a condo purchase and making certain that the condo was in perfect shape at the close of escrow. Throughout the entire process, we were always in communication with her. She worked tirelessly, working with our lender and anyone else involved in the transaction, to make sure the process was as smooth as possible and we always felt that she was on our side. I don't think I have ever worked with a realtor that was so dedicated to her client. What can I say about Carly but.....AMAZING!! She was so great with our experience! My husband and I had her both sell our condo and find us a new house. When it comes to selling, she knows exactly what a buyer wants. Our condo had offers within the first 2 days of putting it on the market!! It sold so quickly! We didn't even have time to blink!!! As for buying a house with her, it was great! She had so much knowledge of the area we wanted to buy and she was completely honest with everything! There were no games with her. I was very comfortable talking to her and going to her with any problems or questions. When we did have questions she had answers and if she didn't she would quickly find them. It was easy to get in touch with her as well! She always returned our calls/emails/texts ASAP. Even when she was with clients (it had happened!!) she would let us know right away why she couldn't answer! My family had gone out on with us on our first house hunt and they all loved her. I would and do recommend Carly and her team to everyone I know. She is a master at what she does and is the professional's professional! It is very obvious that she has taken the time to study and learn the industry so that she can provide the stellar service that she does. She facilitated the selling of our home of almost 27 years. SIMPLY AMAZING! My fiancé and I were first time home buyers, and we couldn't be more thankful for finding Carly. Purchasing a home was uncharted waters for the both of us, and Carly put us at ease, thoroughly explained the entire buying process from start to finish, and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Carly set up an introductory meeting with my fiancé and I, and her professionalism, knowledge of real estate, knowledge of financing, and deep familiarity with San Diego County was apparent within the first hour of meeting her. We left the meeting asking each other how we got so lucky in connecting with Carly. After our first meeting, Carly began sending us various property listings which matched our wants/needs/budget. We then carved out a time which was convenient for us (Carly was always extremely flexible, working with us on nights, weekends, etc) and toured properties in both Oceanside and Carlsbad. We had compiled a listing of properties that met our wants, although, Carly asked us to trust her, and took us to one additional home, a home that we had not added to our list. Thankfully we trusted Carly, and I am currently writing this review from the comfort of our BEAUTIFUL bright spacious cozy home, which Carly found for us. After touring the home Carly picked out for us, we knew we wanted to put in an offer. Carly not only made this process understandable, she made it seamless, and was relentless in making sure we got the home we wanted, at the price we wanted, within our terms. The financing aspect of the home purchase was just as seamless as the remainder of the transaction, as Carly recommended Guy Holman with Caliber Home Loans, who was simply fantastic. Guy was available at all hours to answer questions, provide updated pre-approvals, payment scenarios, etc. Guy went above and beyond to ensure we were getting the best deal, using the best mortgage product, with this lowest closing cost amount possible. We were able to remove contingencies in less than 15 days, as Guy was so quick, efficient, and helpful, thanks to Carly's recommendation. We closed on our home in exactly 30 days as planed, for the price we wanted, with zero issues along the way. Carly made this process extremely easy, and surprisingly, enjoyable! We did not know Carly prior to beginning the home buying process, however, she treated us like family. She put zero pressure on us, she pointed out any potential flaws with properties, and ensured that we got exactly what we were looking for. As an added bonus, the house appraised for higher than the purchase price, meaning we walked into equity immediately. That is a relentless agent! Thank you Carly for being amazing, and getting us into the home of our dreams.
